The hill forms a promontory between Pattaya City and Jomtien Beach. Although it is densely built with many high-rise buildings, it is a location that has kept its own charm by offering a clear break from the other best-known local places.
There are shops and condominiums, as well as hotels, resorts, and restaurants. But its clear asset is that it has managed to keep some of its green environment and splendid lookouts on the city, the bay, and the far-off islands. It even offers a sandy beach of its own at the foot of the hill.
These days, one of the trendiest places is Pattaya Sky Gallery that offers drinks and food in a wonderful terraced garden overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. This is truly a wonderful place for a great chill-out in the afternoon or in the evening.
The other great place to go is the Big Buddha Temple, which is not only picturesque but also offers a great panorama of Pattaya City.
Pattaya Hill offers a good alternative for those who like a more quiet lifestyle than the usual festive mood of Pattaya City.
