diversity is unquestionably one of these.
After visiting some incredible botanic gardens like Peradenya (Sri Lanka), Singapore, Bogor (Indonesia), or those in the Seychelles islands, I could not miss paying a visit to the Botanic Garden of Windhoek.
It is located on a hill above the Hilton Hotel, not too far away of the residential area of Little Windhoek. But it is at a walking distance from downtown and its entrance is free. After registering, you will be given a map of the garden. It is a self-guiding hike as everything is clearly labeled. You can spend hours in this place but you must be aware that there is a lot of uphill/downhill climbing to see the different species. When I went, I was the only visitor and it took me about 90 minutes to be able to see most of the interesting species.
Some endemic botanical wonders of Namibia are :
-the Quiver tree [Aloidendron dichotomum]
-the Dollar plant [Zygophyllum stapfii]
-the Damara milk-bush [Euphorbia damarana]
-theWelwitschia mirabilis, a weird & unique desert plant
-the Bottletree [Pachypodium lealii]
