The taxi picked up to town has been arranged. Windhoek is at about 35km away from the airport. First impression of coolness, deep colors and brightness.

01/05- Trail drive across 
the Namib-Naukluft Park to Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast 
the Tropic of Capricorn, passing of canyons & fascinating rock formations at 
the Gaub Pass, scenic stop at 
the Kuiser River Pass. A desert trail of 240km before 
Walvis Bay on the South Atlantic. Continuation along the ocean and high sand dunes to 
Swakopmund.

Day 4- 
02/05- Swakopmund and its desert area. Leisure morning in the German town of 
Swakopmund Kristall Galerie to have a complete overview of the Namibian minerals & a memorable visit to the gemstones exhibition. Afternoon drive to the lunar landscape of the  
Moonscape carved by the Swakop River & discovery of the botanic attraction of the 
'Welwitschia mirabilis', a 'living fossil' wonder, one of the oldest and most original living plants on the Earth [150 km].
Great seafood dinner at the 
Jetty1905 Restaurant in Swakopmund.

Day 5- 
03/05- Full day drive across the Namib Desert to Etosha National Park [550km]. Long straight tar road across, 
the Namib desert to the first town of 
Usako, passing by the uranium mine of 
Arandi and a far-away view of the granitic formation of the 
Spitzkoppe (1,728m). Continuation to 
Karibib, 
Omaruru, an 80km trail shortcut to 
Outjo (late lunch) before reaching 
the Etosha National Park main entrance.

Day 6- 04/05- A full day of animal watching in the Etosha National Park on the southern rim of the Etosha Pan. Highlights include jackal, rhino, leopard, elephant, lion, ostrich, springbok, oryx, zebra, guinea fowl, and many other birds or animals.
-Night at the 
Okaukuejo Camp on another side of the park.

Day 7- 06/05- Another full day drive from Etosha back to Windhoek [450km/ 6h] starting at sunrise. The road passes Outjo, Otjiwarongo, Okahandja, where there is a stop at the tribal Art Market. Continuation to Windhoek and the International Airport for my return flights to Bangkok.
