Bangkok has one of the largest Chinatown outside of China. The Chinese community had settled along the Chao Phraya River before the founding of the city as it was a place that traded with the East when Ayutthaya was still the capital of Siam.
Its main artery is Yaowarat Road that meanders through Chinatown like a dragon, linking the Europen section marked by Hua Lamphong Station and Charoen Krung Road to the Royal City of Rattanakosin.
