Healthy Cretan Food

CRETE is the land of milk & honey and its culinary talent has become a legend for its taste and healthiness.

This is a sample of what to expect when you are there.

 [1] A local breakfast made of yogurt mixed with herbs and cucumbers with toasts and fresh lemonade.

[2] A set menu of grilled fish with local veggies with some bread.

[4] Cream chicken with rice, veggies, and fries,
 accompanied with some chilled local white wine.

 [3] Stewed chicken with local Mediterranean vegetables with bread and a glass of Cretan lager.

[6] One of my favorite daily lunches:
a Greek salad with Feta cheese with
sparkling mineral water. A delight when
it is hot!
 [5] A light dinner by the seaside with small grilled fish, salad, and vegetables with some local red Cretan wine.

  [7] A classic moussaka with a Cretan salad, cheese toast, and a beer for dinner.

[8] This is a breakfast delicacy: yogurt mixed with fruit and mint on top.

[9] A dish of local salad mixed with sausage and a large portion of Feta cheese.

[10] A classic yogurt with cucumbers and its additional mix with toast bread.
